If you are a discerning guest then Caumot could be that special place you have been searching for.On 7 acres of freedoms space we are close to the ski resort of Le Lioran.Built around 1650 and finely restored to its original elegance,it provided a refuge to the "marquis"or French resistance during the second world war and secrets much regional history.

Treat yourself to the spacious top floor apartment on the 7 acre property and lake. 3 bedrooms, sitting room, 2 bathrooms with 1 ensuite. It provides privacy and has a well stocked cellar where the dining room would be the envy of the 'Cavaliers."
Your hostess, Sallyann, prepares meals, the old fashioned way and will treat you to culinary delights of your or her choice.
Caumot is in the Parc Naturel and work commenced long before the birth of George Washington and survived the turbulent times of the French revolution of 1789-1799 and reign of Napoleon Bonaparte 1769- 1821.

If you wish to spend an active holiday in France, the Midi Pyrenees is great cycling country ,we have 2 bikes and there are cycle hire places in larger towns and cities. The Pyrenees are ideal for mountain biking and walking and there are white water rafting and rock-climbing centres.

Flying, gliding and micro lights are available at several small airfields. If you like horse riding there are numerous riding centres, and treks can be taken through the mountains accompanied by experienced guides. There is a good choice of golf courses throughout the region, easily accessible and inexpensive.

There are markets in most towns and villages on different days of the week. Rugby is a passion and in Toulouse important matches are played regularly.Downhill and cross-country skiing can be had in the Pyrenees in the winter months.

Rocamadour:WORLD HERITAGE SITE.
http://france-for-visitors.com/lot/rocamadour.html

Even before the 10th century, an ancient oratory dedicated to the Virgin Mary was built against the cliff on the edge of the spectacular Alzou Canyon. Rocamadour became an important pilgrimage place in the Christian West as Santiago de Compostella, thanks to the progress of the Marian cult and thanks to the discovery, in 1166, of the body named St Amadour.

Conques:WORLD HERITAGE SITE

http://www.aveyron.com/english/tourism/conques-village1.html

This Unesco world heritage site receives over 600,000 visitors each year. According to the legend, it was the hermit Dadon who gave Conques its name, from the Latin "concha" ("shell"), due to its rocky configuration. Joined by other monks, Dadon founded a community according to the code of Saint Benoît. Protestants ruined the monastery in the 16th century: it was partially burned, as were others in Aveyron.

Villefranche-De-Rouergue:
Lying between the Lot and the Aveyron, the countryside around Villefranche de Rouergue reveals its secrets which go back thousands of years: cave dwellings from prehistoric times, castles, Romanesque and Gothic churches, monasteries and abbeys, royal walled towns left to us by the men of the Middle Ages.

Distances from Figeac to:

Aurillac - 63 kilometres and on to Le Lioran SKI resorts.
Rodez /London Stansted -65 kms to Molieres
Paris 571 kilometres.
